The reason for the difficulty has more to do with the individual&#8217;s apprehension about getting to the club and sitting down with a trainer or membership salesperson. And this makes sense as most people don&#8217;t like to be &#8220;sold,&#8221; and if the salesperson is down on commission they might be a little more aggressive with the sale.</p>
<p>While it is normally impossible to know beforehand whether you will get an aggressive, commissioned salesperson or a salaried membership coordinator who will not do any selling at all, you can prepare for the experience and remember to look for the following 5 features when determining whether a particular health and fitness club is right for you.</p>
<p>1. Do the weight and cardio facilities meet my fitness needs? If you need weight equipment because you do not have the resources to equip your home with your own but you do not need cardio equipment, who cares if the club has the best treadmill in the world? Look for the equipment you need and be specific &#8211; if you are worried about lower body workouts, make sure there are sufficient lower body machines.</p>
<p>2. Are the change-room, bathroom and shower facilities clean and operational? Remember that health and fitness clubs are in the health business too. If the change-room, bathroom and showers are not clean, the club may not be so much in the &#8220;health&#8221; business after all. And what does that say about proper sanitization on the machines? If the bathrooms are unkempt, then the rest of the equipment will probably not be maintained either.</p>
<p>3. Do the hours of operation align with the times that I can work out? This is a no-brainer if you are looking at joining at a 24-hour facility, but many clubs will not have all-day hours. Does this cause a problem with you and your plans? If you work crazy hours or cannot get to the gym long after the kids have been put to bed, make sure you will have a good two hours for your workout and clean-up.</p>
<p>4. Are the staff knowledgeable and what kind of assistance do the non-personal trainers provide? How much for added support? While it would be nice to hire a personal trainer, many people do not need one. However, we all need a bit of guidance sometimes to make sure our form and execution are right. What kind of support does the club offer with a basic membership? What are some of the other fees?</p>
<p>5. What are the cancellation requirements? This is a big one. Many clubs will charge exorbitant fees to members who want to cancel their membership within a certain time period. Make sure you understand what the cancellation requirements are, especially if you are not 100% sure about the club in the first place. As well, make sure you have this in writing so that there is no confusion should you have to cancel earlier than you originally intended.</p>
<p>Of course, there are other criteria that you will want to look into on your own &#8211; lockers, busy periods, available entertainment (iPod hook-up, television on machines? Etc.). But if you are not all that confident with yourself when visiting such clubs, make sure you check off the basics above before signing up with any fitness club.</p>

Slowly lift your trunk and pull it close to your knees for as far as you can go. Hold on for around 5 counts before you assume previous position. You can have at least 25 repeats of this workout.</p>
<p><strong>THE CAT STRETCH</strong> &#8211; A highly-recommended ab exercise, this mimics the way cats stretch their bodies out. Simply lie on the floor and let loose your body muscles. Then, slowly tighten your abdominal muscles as you push your back up for as far as you can go. Keep this stance for around 5 counts. Then, loosen your muscles as you relax your back. Have at least 25 repeats of this workout.</p>
<p><strong>BYCYCLING </strong>- This is an easy-to-do ab-flattening workout. Lie on the floor and put your hands beside your head. Then, slowly pull up your knees as you move your feet in a circular manner. This mimics the way a bicycle is pedaled. Repeat this workout 10 times or more.</p>
<p>Inhale and exhale completely as you do these exercises so as to give your body the right amount of oxygen to get the lungs to work properly. Always bear in mind that if you decide to engage in ab workouts, make sure that you can religiously spare extra time to do these regularly for at least 4 to 5 times per week. <p>Are there any secrets that make it possible to lose belly fat for women now? The fact is, for women who are willing to work hard, five fat-busting stomach exercises melt away the pounds for good.</p>
<p>1. Make your belly fat take a heavy HIIT.</p>
<p>Scientists at Laval University in Quebec studied the differences between high-intensity interval training, or HIIT, and regular aerobic exercise carried out at a steady rate. At the end of three months, the scientists found that HIIT resulted in three times as much fat loss, although muscle gain offset weight loss. Still, HIIT exercisers lost about half an inch of belly fat, compared to less than one-quarter of an inch from the steady-state exercisers.</p>
<p>What do you do to make your belly fat take a HIIT? Start your walking, jogging, bicycle, or elliptical routine as normal, and work out at an easy pace for 5 to 7 minutes. Then walk, jog, pedal, or push as hard as you can-but only for 15 seconds. Continue your exercise at an easy pace for another 45 seconds, and then work out as hard as you can for another 15 seconds. Then continue your exercise for 5 minutes at an easy pace, to be followed by two more 15-second sprints and a 5 minute cool-down.</p>
<p>Just four 15-second sprints triple fat loss. One minute is what you need to lose belly fat for women now.</p>
<p>2. Don&#8217;t do more than 50 sit-ups a week.</p>
<p>Does it sound good to do fewer sit-ups? The truth is, especially if you are dieting to lose fat, your body just can&#8217;t handle more than about 50 sit-ups a week. It won&#8217;t have a chance to rebuild your ab muscles into a tighter and more powerful contour. Most women lose more belly fat by doing fewer, not more, sit-ups.</p>
<p>3. Do one or two repetitions against the highest resistance your muscles can handle, and stop.</p>
<p>Women who want to lose belly fat usually make faster progress with resistance machines, like those you find in a gym, than they do with free weights. If you want to strengthen your core muscles and the extensors muscles that also support your belly, use your machine to push as hard as you can. Just stop after 1 or 2 repetitions of the highest resistance you can move.</p>
<p>Then give your muscles a week to rebuild and reshape themselves. It&#8217;s OK to do the same exercise once during the week at an easier resistance. This will build up endurance, and prevent injury, but it won&#8217;t flatten your tummy. It doesn&#8217;t need to. Avoiding strained muscles is an important part of progress.</p>
<p>4. Try working out with a Power Wheel.</p>
<p>The Power Wheel is a training device you put on the floor in front of you. You roll the wheel back and forth to strengthen both your abs and your core muscles.</p>
<p>The advantage of the Power Wheel is that, unlike a Swiss ball, you don&#8217;t have worry about the device falling out from under you, so you can use more force. You get more muscle training for less effort with a Power Wheel than with almost any other common exercise for abs, including sit-ups.</p>
<p>5. Instead of sit-ups, try a &#8220;hanging knee&#8221; exercise with foot straps.</p>
<p>Some women try to flatten their abs by doing the &#8220;hanging leg&#8221; exercise. You lie down on the floor and then raise your legs up into the air, holding them for a few moments and then gently lowering them back down. The problem with this exercise is that it places a lot of stress on the spine.</p>
<p>To get the same benefits for your abs without risk of injuring your back, do the exercise with foot straps attached to an exercise bar. You&#8217;ll get just as much benefit for your abs with a much lower risk of lower back pain.</p>

<p>Trick 1: Throughout the day try to consume 2-3 liters of icy cold water. This trick really is great, it&#8217;s so easy to implement and actually has a significant effect of your daily calorie expenditure. It works by cooling down your core body temperature forcing you your body to automatically work harder to heat itself back to optimal temperature, this process alone can burn up to an extra 500kcal per day!</p>
<p>Trick 2: First thing in the morning when you wake up and before eating anything, consume a high caffeine sugar free drink. Something like red bull sugar free or even just a strong black coffee. This will give you an instant metabolism boost at a time when you most need it &#8211; after 8 hours of sleep!
